Today, we faced a challenging match in the Thomas Field Shield Cup, playing against a strong team that plays a League above us Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day as we ended up losing 3-2 after being 2-0 up.
Our team started strong, scoring an early goal thanks to a fantastic play from our centre back and finished by Hassan, after just 12 minutes. It was a great display of skill and teamwork. Shortly after the second half began, Hassan struck again, showcasing his brilliant dribbling skills as he effortlessly bypassed the opponent’s goalkeeper, securing our second goal.
However, just as we were beginning to feel confident about securing the victory, the home team managed to sneak in their first goal. This shifted the momentum in their favor, and they capitalized on it by scoring two more goals, one of which was in extra time. The final score ended up being Aylesbury Royals 3 – Aylesbury Hearts 2.
