What a thrilling match it was as our team secured an impressive 8-1 victory against Riverts FC at home. Although we had a slow start, allowing Riverts to score the first goal at the 16th minute, we quickly turned the tables and took control of the game.
Our comeback began just a minute later, with Kelson scoring his first goal for the club at the 17th minute. This was followed by Akeel’s goal at the 21st minute, giving us a 2-1 lead at halftime. The second half saw a remarkable performance from our team, thanks to three substitutions made by our Manager.
Our new signing, Isaac, made an immediate impact by scoring at the 47th minute. Akeel continued his exceptional form, scoring two more goals at the 48th and 51st minutes, completing an impressive hat trick. The goals kept coming, with Tom finding the back of the net at the 76th minute, followed by Sina at the 80th minute. Sammi sealed our victory with a goal at the 82nd minute.
While it was a great game to watch, we acknowledge the importance of starting strong in future matches to avoid giving our opponents an early advantage. However, today’s win has given us valuable momentum that we intend to carry into our next home game.
Currently, we remain in second place in the league, with only a one-goal difference. With the team’s strong performance and determination, we are confident in our ability to continue climbing up the rankings.
